IIT JAM 2027: Registration Deadline Again Extended to October 24, Here’s How To Apply At jam.iitkgp.ac.in

IIT JAM 2027: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has once again extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM 2027). The conducting body has now opened the registration portal until October 24, giving students ample time to submit their IIT JAM applications. Candidates who are still left to register must log in to the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JOAPS) portal and complete their application process before the revised deadline. 

For students interested in admission to  89 postgraduate programmes offered across the 23 IITs, qualifying IIT JAM is mandatory. M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and Integrated Ph.D. are some of the courses offered to top shortlisted candidates.

The registration began on September 11, 2026. Following this, IIT Kharagpur will open the form correction window, allowing candidates to edit or modify the submitted details before the final submission.

Step 1: Go to the JOAPS official portal at jam.iitkgp.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link and enter your basic details, including name, mobile number, email address, etc. 

Step 3: You will get an OTP and enrolment ID on the registered contact details.

Step 4: Log in using the above credentials and complete your application form.

Step 5: Upload a photograph, signature, date of birth proof, and category certificate, if applicable.

Step 6: Pay the application fee using the online payment gateway.

Step 7: Verify all details carefully before submitting the application.
