NEET PG 2026 Answer Key:  The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the NEET PG answer key and result for 2026 anytime soon. Over 2 lakh candidates appeared for the exam on August 30 for admission to postgraduate medical courses across various government and private medical colleges nationwide. As of now, there has been no official announcement for the answer key and result dates. 

The download link will become active at  natboard.edu.in once released. Using their application number and password, candidates can check their result status and access the response sheet.

How To Download NEET PG 2026 Answer Key And Response Sheet?

Using the following steps, candidates can download the answer key via the official portal.

Step 1: Visit the official website at natboard.edu.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, select the “NEET PG 2026 Answer Key And Response Sheet” download link.

Step 3: The login window will open. Enter your application number and password.

Step 4: After submitting the details, the answer key PDF will open.

Step 5: Check question IDs, recorded responses, and correct answers.

Step 6: Download and save it for future reference.

When Will NEET 2026 Result Be Declared?

The NEET PG result 2026 is expected to be out by September 30, 2026. Candidates will be able to check their result online at natboard.edu.in using their login details. To prepare the results, NBEMS will use a tie-breaking method if one or two candidates score the same marks. According to it, the rank preference will be decided based on the fewer incorrect answers overall, followed by fewer incorrect answers in Section A and then Sections B, C, D and E. If the tie continues, higher marks in the MBBS professional exam and older candidates will be given priority. 

How To Calculate NEET PG Marks Using Official Marking Scheme?

The exam will have 180 questions worth 720 marks. Using the official marking scheme, candidates can calculate their marks after downloading the final answer key. 

1. For each correct answer, +4 marks will be awarded.

2. There is a penalty of -1 for each incorrect response. 

3. Unanswered questions will be awarded no marks.

Total Aggregate Marks = (Number of Correct Answers × 4) − (Number of Incorrect Answers × 1)

Along with the result, NBMES will also upload the NEET PG merit list, announcing the overall merit position of a candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET PG 2026.
