NEET PG 2026: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate (PG) answer key 2026 soon on its official portal, natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in. According to the official exam calendar, the medical board is expected to announce the NEET PG 2026 result by September 30, 2026. However, before publishing the final result, the NBEMS will upload the NEET answer key, along with the response sheets of the candidates.
The NBEMS conducted the NEET Postgraduate exam on August 30 for around 2.6 lakh candidates. Additionally, a retest was conducted on September 5 for candidates affected by technical issues at Jaipur centres.

Where To Check Answer Key And Response Sheet?
Medical students who took the NEET PG 2026 exam can download the answer key PDF and response sheet through the official website, natboard.edu.in. Applicants will be able to access the Question ID, correct answer key to questions, and responses marked, through their applicant login at the NEET PG 2026 index page on the NBEMS website.
Along with the correct answer key, the responses marked by candidates to respective questions will also be published by the board.
How To Calculate Raw Scores?
Candidates will be able to calculate their expected raw scores using the NEET PG 2026 answer key and response sheet. To do this, they should first identify the number of correct and incorrect responses marked. As per the official marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
NEET PG 2026: Exam Statistics And Security:
The NEET PG 2026 examination was scheduled for 2,73,096 candidates at 1,111 examination centres across 339 cities, covering all 36 States and Union Territories. A total of 2,65,980 candidates appeared for the examination, with the examination successfully completed for approximately 2,63,535 candidates.
A re-exam for 2,445 candidates affected by technical disruption at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura centres, Jaipur, was held on September 5, 2026. The examination centres were placed under live CCTV surveillance, continuously monitored from the NBEMS Command Centre in Dwarka, with a dedicated team of 190 personnel from NBEMS and TCS deployed for real-time monitoring.
What Happens After The Result?
Along with the declaration of the result, the medical board will also upload the NEET PG merit list, announcing the overall merit position of a candidate amongst all the candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2026. In a related development, NBEMS has also announced a reduction in the qualifying percentile for NEET Super Speciality (SS) 2025, lowering it from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile, citing a Supreme Court order dated September 17, 2026.
