UP School Holiday Update: All schools in Moradabad will remain closed on September 28, 2026, due to heavy and continuous rainfall in the district. The holiday has been announced following directions from the District Magistrate, Moradabad, keeping the prevailing weather conditions and student safety in mind.

The order applies to government, council-run, government-aided and unaided schools affiliated with all boards. Classes from pre-primary to Class 12 will remain suspended for the day. However, examinations already scheduled by a commission will continue at their fixed time, according to the official order.

Moradabad Schools Closed On September 28 Due To Heavy Rain

The Office of the District Inspector of Schools, Moradabad, has issued an order declaring September 28 a holiday for schools across the district. The decision follows the directions of the District Magistrate and comes in view of heavy rainfall.

The closure covers all institutions from pre-primary to Class 12, irrespective of their management or board affiliation. Government, council-run, government-aided and unaided schools are all included in the order.

School authorities have been instructed to strictly comply with the directions. The order has also been forwarded to education officials and principals of schools affiliated with different boards for necessary action.

Scheduled Commission Examinations To Continue

While regular school activities will remain suspended on September 28, the order makes an exception for examinations that have already been scheduled by a commission.

Such examinations will be conducted at the appointed time despite the school holiday. Students appearing for any such examination should therefore carefully check instructions issued by their school or the concerned examination authority before making travel arrangements.

The District Inspector of Schools has specifically directed schools and concerned officials to ensure strict compliance with the order.

Parents and students should avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rainfall and remain alert to local weather conditions. Students should check messages from their respective schools regarding online classes, examinations, or any other instructions.

The order was issued by Ritu Tomar, District Inspector of Schools, Moradabad, under the directions of the District Magistrate.
