School Holiday (July 11):  As heavy monsoon showers continue to disrupt livelihoods across several states over the last few days, students and parents are awaiting the official announcement regarding the school closure on July 11. Authorities are closely monitoring the IMD alerts and are expected to release the official notice for school closures accordingly. 

Due to excessive rains and waterlogging in many states, including Mumbai, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Noida, etc the schools and colleges have remained closed until July 10, 2026. As per the IMD reports, the eastern UP region is expected to witness fairly moderate rainfall till July 13, while heavy rains are expected in many states until July 15, 2026.

No Holiday For UP Schools

As of now, there is no statewide holiday in Uttar Pradesh on July 11. Schools from Nursery to Class 12 in Ghaziabad were closed until yesterday due to heavy rains and waterlogging. However, there has not been any official update for July 11. The governments will monitor the weather conditions closely, and IMD reports, and accordingly declare the city-wise school holidays. 

Noida Schools: Schools To Function Normally

Schools in Noida, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, and Faridabad are expected to function normally on July 11. The schools will remain open until otherwise notified. The authorities will remain vigilant about the IMD reports and take necessary steps if needed. Parents and students are advised to keep in touch with their school authorities for any updates. 

No State-Wise Holiday For Telangana Schools

As per the IMD alerts, southern states including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry will likely experience scattered rainfall until July 16, 2026. The Government of Telangana has cancelled the second Saturday holiday for July 11 to compensate for the loss of studies due to school closure till July 10. However, a few private schools will likely remain closed on July 11 due to state-wide bandh; there has not been any government holiday on July 11, 2026.
