TN NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, will close the registration portal for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling process 2026 today, July 23, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates who have qualified the NEET UG entrance examination must complete their registration process, upload documents, and fill in their college and course preferences by today on the official portal at tnmedicalselection.net. Furthermore, the Committee has stated that no further extension will be granted once the registration window closes. As per reports, more than 41,000 applicants have applied for admission to the medical course for the current academic year.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026: Steps To Register

Using the following steps, candidates can register for the state counselling process through the official portal. 

Step 1: Go to the official portal at tnmedicalselection.net.

Step 2: Select the Undergraduate course from the list.

Step 3: Click on the “Apply for MBBS/BDS course under government quota/management quota” link. 

Step 4: Choose the desired quota and click on the “Online application” link.

Step 5: Enter your personal and academic details to register.

Step 6: Upload mandatory documents in the prescribed format.

Step 7: Pay the counselling fee and submit the form.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling Fee 2026

The counselling fee depends on the quota that candidates choose while registering. The application fee for the government quota is fixed at Rs 500, while for the management quota it is Rs 1,000.
