UP DElEd 2026 Registration 2026: Following the government’s approval, Rajendra Pratap, Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority, UP, issued an order on the extension of the examination schedule. This extension was made after fewer than half the total number of applications were received by the earlier deadline, i.e., July 11.  Candidates can now apply for the UP DElEd 2026 examination until August 3, 2026. The last date to pay the application fee is now fixed at August 4, 2026, while the application form can be downloaded by August 5 as per the official notice. Applicants must note that no other mode of application will be accepted for the UP DElEd 2026, apart from the online mode.

What Is UP DElEd 2026?

The DElEd programme is a two-year diploma designed to prepare eligible candidates for teaching positions in the government-run primary and upper primary schools. Formerly known as the  Basic Training Certificate (BTC), the state offers a total of 2,39,500 DElEd seats, including 10,600 seats in 67 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and 2,28,900 seats in 3,304 private and minority colleges.

How To Apply For UP DElEd 2026?

Candidates can use the following steps to complete their registration form via the official portal.

Step 1: Visit the official website at updeled.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the registration link.

Step 3: Select the Candidate Registration Part-1 and pay the application fee.

Step 4: Click on Submit Registration Part-2 and complete the form by filling in other information.

Step 5: Upload mandatory documents in the prescribed format.

Step 6: Check all details carefully and submit the application form. 

The application fee for the General and OBC category candidates is Rs 700, while  SC/ST category candidates will have to pay Rs 500. Disabled category candidates need to pay Rs 200 as registration fee. The fee must be paid through online payment modes and is non-refundable. 

Eligibility for D.El.Ed Admission

  • For admission to UP D.El.Ed (formerly BTC) course, candidates must have graduated with at least 50% marks from a recognized university/institute.

  • SC, ST category candidates need 45 percent marks in their graduation.

  • The minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 35 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per rules.
