The Council to release the names of top 10 rank holders, state-wise and district-wise. It will include students from Santhali, Nepali, and Urdu mediums as well.

To pass the WB class 12 HS exam, students must score 33 per cent minimum in each subject.

According to the merit list released by the board, 64 students,  including 56 boys and 8 girls, secured positions in the top 10 ranks. Four candidates from Kolkata featured in the top 10 this year.

Adrito Pal has secured the first rank in the WBCHSE West Bengal HS Result 2026 by scoring 496 out of 500 marks. The student recorded an overall percentage of 99.2 per cent in the Higher Secondary examinations this year.

Uttar Medinipur has emerged as the top-performing district in the WBCHSE West Bengal HS Result 2026, recording the highest pass percentage of 94.14 per cent.

According to the data released by the board in a press conference, the pass percentage among female students stands at 91.79 per cent, while male students recorded a pass percentage of 89.71 per cent.

WBCHSE has introduced new security and identification features in the Class 12 marksheets this year. The WB HS Result 2026 marksheets will now carry candidates’ photographs along with QR codes.

The WBCHSE board official confirmed that the overall pass percentage this year stands at 91.23 per cent.

Students who appeared for the Higher Secondary examinations will be able to check their individual scorecards online from 11 am onwards through the official result websites.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially declared the WB HS Result 2026 through a press conference held on May 14.

Along with the announcement of the Class 12 results, the board also confirmed that the overall pass percentage this year stands at 86.83 per cent.

The official website to check Bengal results says:

“Results are not available right now. Keep your Admit Card ready to check your result.”

The West Bengal Class 12 results were declared today, May 14, but heavy traffic has slowed official portals. Students can use DigiLocker, UMANG, or SMS services to access scorecards.

The board will share the details for the compartment or supplementary examinations shortly after the release of the main result. Students failing in one or two subjects can use this opportunity to save their academic year to improve their scores.

As per the press release, shared by the board, the results will be declared through a press conference by the board officials at 10:30 AM.

Before 11 AM, keep the following ready to check WB 12th Result 2026:

(1) Admit card (for roll number and date of birth).

(2) Registration number (on the admit card).

Almost 7.1 lakh students were registered for their Class 12 exam this year from the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams.

The press conference will start at 10.30 am at Vidyasagar Bhavan, Salt Lake, after which the result link will be activated online. The results are expected to be out around 11 AM.

(1) Go to wbresults.nic.in.

(2) Click on ‘West Bengal HS Result 2026’.

(3) Enter your roll number and date of birth.

(4) Click Submit.

(5) Your result will appear on screen.

(6) Download and save as PDF.

(7) Take a printout for future reference until the official marksheet is distributed. 

In 2025, the WB Class 12 pass percentage stood at 86.15%, an improvement over the 84.93% recorded in 2024. Girls outperformed boys in both years. The 2025 Science stream recorded the highest pass rate at 91.4%, followed by Commerce at 88.2% and Arts at 84.7%.

The Science stream has consistently recorded the highest pass rates in the WB HS examination. The Arts stream, which comprises the majority of students from rural Bengal, exhibits the widest disparities in district-wise performance. The Commerce stream—an increasingly popular choice among urban and semi-urban students—has recorded consistently rising pass rates since 2020.

1.Go to play store and download the WBCHSE result app.

2. Open the app and enter your roll code, roll number and registration number.

3. Click on submit.

4. The result will appear on your screen.

5. Download and save it.

WBCHSE will release the WB HS Result 2026 today, May 14, 2026. As per the official schedule, the board will announce the Class 12 results during a press conference at 10:30 AM, while the online result link will be activated at 11 AM. 

Students awaiting the WB HS Result 2026 are advised to keep their admit cards ready before the result link is activated. Candidates will require their roll numbers and other necessary details to view their scorecards online via the official portal.
