WBJEE Provisional Answer Key 2026 Out:  The West  Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially released the provisional answer key and OMR response sheet for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam on May 24 can now access their response sheets from wbjeeb.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. The Board has clarified further that no other mode will be used to release the candidate’s OMR response sheet. Using the response sheets and answer key, candidates can calculate their probable marks for selection before the final merit is announced.

WBJEE Provisional Answer Key 2026: Steps To Download

Follow the steps below to download the provisional answer key and response sheet from the official portal.

Step 1: Go to the WBJEE official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “WBJEE 2026 Answer Key” or “OMR/Recorded Response Sheet” links.

Step 3: Enter your application number and password/date of birth to log in.

Step 4: After submitting the details, the answer key and response sheet will be displayed.

Step 5: Download and save the documents for future reference.

WBJEE 2026 Objection Window

The Board has also opened the objection portal for candidates to challenge the provisional answer key if they find any errors. The portal will remain open until June 14. Candidates are required to submit their responses, upload supporting documents, and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 per question through the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in. The board will review all valid objections before publishing the final answer key, which will form the basis for preparing the results. 

WBJEE 2026 Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared after considering candidates' performance in the examination. Those who qualify the exam proceed to the WBJEE counselling rounds, necessary for admission to UG in engineering, pharmacy and architecture in participating institutions across the state. Final seat allotment will be done based on factors such as the General Merit Rank (GMR), category rank, institute-specific cut-offs and seat availability during counselling rounds.
