Karera (Madhya Pradesh) Assembly Election 2023: On November 17, 2023, Madhya Pradesh will have elections for the 230 Assembly constituencies. The election is scheduled for December 3, 2023.
Karera is a Madhya Pradesh state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha seat that is part of the Gwalior Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Karera is located in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district and Chambal area. It is classified as a rural seat.
The seat has a total of 2,35,758 votes, with 1,27,232 male voters and 1,08,524 female voters. Karera had a voter turnout of 73.29 per cent in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections. Turnout was 72.11 per cent in 2013, and 63.41 per cent in 2008.

Karera Assembly Election 2018 and 2013
Jasmant Jatave Chitree from the congress party won the 2018 elections with 64,201 (37.01 per cent) total votes.
Smt Shakuntla Khatik of the congress won the seat by a margin of 10,320 votes (6.28 per cent) in 2013. Smt Shakuntla Khatik received 36.11 per cent of the votes cast.
The BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections by a margin of 12,816 votes (12.24 per cent), accounting for 34.22 per cent of all votes cast.
