Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon made their big and successful debut with the 2014 film 'Heropanti' and have now collaborated for the second time after in their action entertainer film 'Ganapath'. The movie is set in 2070 AD and will portray a post-pandemic and dystopian era. Apart from Tiger and Kriti, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. 'Ganapath' has no big clash at the box office in the Hindi belt and will have to compete with 'Leo' and 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' in the Tamil and Telegu languages.

Ganapath Box Office Collection Day 1:

According to the website Sacnilk, 'Ganapath' opened to very low numbers on day 1 and collected Rs 2.50 crore as per early estimates.

Talking about the film, producer Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment said, “I have always been a fan of seeing this new world through the lens of cinema, that’s what really excited me about this film. And I am thrilled, excited and can’t wait for the audiences to witness and visually experience this new dystopian world of 'Ganapath'. As always, it’s been our endeavour to bring to the audience larger than life cinema and 'Ganapath' will surely enthral you with its unique and picturesque storytelling.”

Director Vikas Bahl talked about exploring action in 'Ganapath' and told Hindustan Times, "I totally love action. But I think action is nothing if it doesn't have drama. Action is in fact the end result of an emotion. When we do an action without knowing the reason behind the same, then it feels hollow. Drama and action go hand in hand. That should always be the case."

On the work front, Tiger Shroff was last seen in 'Heropanti 2' with Tara Sutaria. He will next star in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' along with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

Kriti Sanon was last seen in 'Shehzada' along with Kartik Aaryan. She has launched her production house 'Blue Butterfly Films' and will produce the Netflix film 'Do Patti' under the banner.
