Kingston OTT Release Update:  GV Prakash and Divyabharathi starrer Tamil fantasy horror adventure drama movie released in theatres on March 7, 2025. The film could not perform well at the box office. Notably, it marks Prakash’s 25th film as an actor and a completely new genre for him. After the box office failure, the film is reportedly set to release in the digital space. The streaming rights of the film have been bought by Zee5. Kingston will be released on Zee5 on April 13 in all languages. The OTT platform announced the news on X and wrote, "The sea calls. He answers! #Kingston Arrives on 13th April! India's First Marine Fantasy Blockbuster #Kingston Premiering on OTT & TV on April 13th 12pm!" 

 


About Kingston

The movie is set against the backdrop of a coastal village called Thoovathur in Tamil Nadu. The village is cursed, which prompts the villagers to quit fishing for a long time. The movie focuses on the present time and also goes back to 1982. In the present scenario, a young man named Kingston who wants to make more money for a smuggling gang. After an incident, he decided to leave smuggling and return to his village for fishing. The movie stars GV Prakash, Divyabharathi, Sabumon Abdusamad, Elango Kumaravel, Chetan and Antony in key roles. It has been directed by Kamal Prakash and produced by GV Prakash. According to reports, Kingston had a box office collection of Rs 4.71 crore. The film could not reach the budget mark which is Rs 20 crore.
