Alpha Release Date: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh worked together to accomplish something that the audience has never seen a female actor do on screen. Alpha, which also stars Bobby Deol in the key part, has announced a new release date. After being delayed from April 2026, the sixth movie in the YRF Spy Universe got a July 2026 theatrical release date.

Alpha created a lot of excitement, mainly because it has Alia and Sharvari in powerful roles with a high-octane narrative. The movie poster featuring bruised Alia Bhatt, along with the release date '10.07.26', was shared on Instagram. 

Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor's names were seen on the poster. The July 2026 release date confirmed that Alpha will be released in theatres and dispelled rumours of a direct OTT release.

Alpha was supposed to be released in December last year, but it was delayed until April 17, 2026, to work more on the VFX. The good news, however, is that Alia Bhatt-starrer is the only significant Hindi film scheduled for release on July 10, 2026.

The Shiv Rawail-directed movie also features a cameo by Hrithik Roshan as Kabir. Reportedly, the majority of the movie was filmed in Kashmir. 

What To Expect From Alpha?

In the post-credit scene of War 2, fans saw a peek of Alpha. Bobby Deol made an unexpected appearance in the scene, officially entering the Spy Universe. He was seen stamping an agency's emblem on a young girl's hand in the scene. Bobby's character said, 'Alpha', in response to the girl's question about what it meant. "The first, the fastest, the strongest" is their program's motto, he explained, and Alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet.

Many believed that this little girl could be a younger version of Alia Bhatt's character from Alpha, leading to excitement amongst fans.

YRF Spy Universe

In case you don't know, Ek Tha Tiger, which debuted in 2012, was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023) in the YRF Spy Universe. The universe's most recent movie, War 2, was released in August 2025. It starred Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
