Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up to star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's sequel to Animal. The movie changed the face of Indian cinema in 2023 by providing a gritty and striking cinematic experience to the audience. After having a record-breaking run at the box office in India, the film is preparing for a release in Japan. During an interaction, Sandeep shared an exciting update about the sequel to Animal Park and Ranbir, on the other hand, couldn't stop himself from sharing his excitement about getting back on the project.

Animal is set to release in Japan on February 13, 2026, and ahead of the release, Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga interacted with the audience after a special screening in Japan. During the interaction, Ranbir Kapoor shared his excitement about Animal Park. The actor said, "I can't wait to get back on set with Sandeep and play this character. Now there is another character. Because it is a continuing story, he had the story of Part 2 also very clear in his mind while filming Part 1. It's very exciting and inspiring for me as an actor. Both of us keep chatting and discussing different ideas."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is currently shooting for another action drama movie, Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, also spoke about Animal Park, further fueling excitement among fans. The director shared, "Animal Park will start soon once I finish the current film. There will more animals as Aziz is another animal. Keeping that in mind it will be a war between the two brothers now, who look alike. So i thought Animal Park will be the right title. I will start the shoot mid 2027."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's dark action-drama movie revolves around Ranvijay Singh, who has an obsessive, almost toxic devotion towards his estranged, workaholic father, Balbir Singh. Ranvijay unleashes a whole new violent behaviour after an assassination attempt on Balbir. The attempt pushes him to transform into a ruthless animal who can go to any extent to protect his family.
The movie deals with familial duties, toxic love, generational trauma and other hard-hitting themes. Animal features an ensemble of talented cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri and others in integral roles.

Animal emerged as a massive commercial success. The action thriller earned a whopping Rs 63.8 crores on its opening day and garnered an estimated gross collection of Rs 915 crores. The movie turned out to be the third-highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.
