The buzz around Dhurandhar 2 has gone global, with R Madhavan revealing that fans from Dubai and across the UAE are planning trips to India to watch the film in theatres, as it won’t release there due to regional restrictions. The Ranveer Singh–starrer, directed by Aditya Dhar, hits Indian cinemas on March 19, 2026. Speaking on a podcast with Sonia Shenoy, R Madhavan said, "If you look at Dhurandhar, people from Dubai actually flew down, for one day, to watch the film and then flew back. That is the power of good content."
"Now they are planning their business meetings around March 19 so that they can attend the meeting and watch Dhurandhar 2 because it’s not releasing in Dubai. For them, it would be so easy to just watch it on IPTV, but they want the theatre experience," the actor explained.

Madhavan emphasised that despite the widespread availability of streaming services and IPTV platforms, audiences continue to long for the unique thrill and emotional connect that only cinema halls can offer. He explained that watching a film alone at home simply does not replicate the magic of viewing it on the big screen, surrounded by a crowd.
According to him, films like Dhurandhar are meant to be experienced collectively, where the energy, reactions and shared emotions of a packed theatre elevate the impact of the storytelling. He added that this communal atmosphere transforms a simple viewing into a memorable event, creating a strong sense of togetherness and making the entire experience far more immersive and powerful.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge carries forward the action-packed spy saga with Ranveer Singh in the lead and R Madhavan in a key role, while the first film’s bans in parts of the Gulf only fueled a strong overseas cult following that is now growing ahead of the sequel.
