Cocktail 2, starring Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has already created strong buzz ahead of its release, even though the film is still months away from hitting cinemas. The teaser of the film was unveiled on March 18, but it was shown only in theatres alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge and not officially released online. However, despite the makers’ decision to keep the teaser exclusive to theatres, clips from it have now been leaked on social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter). The leaked video quickly went viral, giving fans an early glimpse into the film’s tone and style.
From the visuals circulating online, the teaser appears to carry a fun and breezy vibe while still holding on to the essence of the original Cocktail film. The video shows the lead actors dancing, travelling, and enjoying life, hinting at a light-hearted and stylish narrative. A song titled Jab Talak plays in the background, adding to the upbeat mood, although the teaser does not reveal much about the storyline.
Fans have reacted positively to the leaked footage, flooding social media with comments. One user wrote, "#Cocktail2 jab talak BANGER IS HERE! ALREADY ON LOOP, i am speechless right now cant able to process how good there moves have been the chemistry shahid, kriti, rashmika on fire." Another commented, "Steps look cool." A third user shared, "Kriti Sanon Rashmika and Shahid the entire cast is serving in Cocktail 2 teaser. The teaser looks so fun and breezy."
Earlier, the makers had released first-look posters of the film, which also caught attention online. The project is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films.
Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Cocktail, the upcoming film is expected to explore modern friendships and relationships, including a love triangle. Cocktail 2 is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 19, 2026.
