Responding to the speculation, Katrina's spokesperson denied the claims while speaking to Bollywood Bubble and stated that there was no truth to the reports. The spokesperson said, "The claims being made about Katrina Kaif's future acting plans have absolutely no truth to them. These reports are entirely based on speculation and misinformation, with no confirmed basis." The statement made it clear that there are currently no confirmed plans regarding her acting comeback.

Katrina was last seen in the film Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi. Since then, she has largely stayed away from public appearances and acting projects. The actress is reportedly focusing on motherhood and her beauty brand, Kay Beauty, which continues to be one of her major professional priorities.
