This comes just after Sidharth Malhotra posted an impassioned homage to his father on social media, confirming the heartbreaking news. The War 2 star posted a few photos from her wedding celebration with husband Sidharth on Instagram on Wednesday. The photos showed the couple posing joyfully with her in-laws.
Kiara Advani posted a carousel of black-and-white photos, one with Sidharth Malhotra and her in-laws and the second one, featuring Sunil Malhotra alone.
Kiara Advani wrote, "From the very beginning you welcomed me with open arms, steady wisdom, and a kind of unconditional love that grounded us all. Your warmth was constant. Your generosity effortless. Your love for your family was at the centre of everything you did. You showed up-every single time. You listened with intention. You remembered the little things. You gave so freely, never expecting anything in return."
Kiara Advani further added, "Your stories, your laughter, your quiet strength, and your gentle heart will stay with me forever. You leave behind a legacy of gentleness, integrity, and deep, unwavering love. It lives on in your children, grandchildren, and in all of us who were blessed to know you."
"Rest peacefully. You will forever be missed, forever loved, and forever remembered," she wrote in a concluding note.

Earlier, Sidharth Malhotra remembered his father, calling him his 'first hero and silent guide' in an emotional post. He shared some unseen photos on Tuesday as a final homage to his father. According to him, he was a guy of 'rare honesty, integrity, and culture,' who never wavered from his moral principles in the face of adversity.
For the unversed, Sidharth Malhotra's father was a former captain of the Merchant Navy, who had been ill for a while. Well-known for leading a disciplined life, he was instrumental in forming his son's morals and perspective.
Sidharth and Kiara had both flown in from Mumbai to Delhi for Sunil Malhotra's last rites.
