Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa debuted on Netflix on June 27, 2026. This season's hosts, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, established the tone for the reality show. The 15 inmates were revealed in a controlled, high-pressure jail. According to the hosts, the inmates will have to prove the charges against them within six weeks.

Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa Winner Prize

Lock Upp Season 2 hosts also disclosed that the winner would receive a cash award of Rs 1 crore.

Interestingly, the inaugural season of Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut in 2022, offered a much smaller cash prize. Winner Munawar Faruqui took home Rs 20 lakh in cash, along with a car and an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy. The jump to a Rs 1 crore prize this season marks a five-fold increase in the winner's cash reward.

The Rs 1 crore winner's prize makes Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa one of the highest-paying reality shows in India. The amount is also more than the grand prize offered on Bigg Boss in recent seasons. It is also significantly higher than shows like Splitsvilla, where winners have typically received cash prizes in the range of Rs 10–15 lakh.

With such a massive reward at stake, Lock Upp now joins the league of India's biggest reality competitions in terms of prize money.

Lock Upp Season 2 Contestants

Actor Ram Kapoor was introduced as the first contestant of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. Shivangi Joshi was unveiled next, followed by Desi Bling breakout star Pamela Serena. Splitsvilla X6 contestants Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Chaudhary also entered the jail as inmates.

The remaining contestants were Harshad Chopra, Sunita Ahuja, Varun Yadav, Akanksha Chamola, Shresta Iyer, Madhuri Grover, Shreya Kalra and Sufi Motiwala.
