Several people from the music industry have given their reactions to the retirement news of Arijit Singh. Recently, singer-composer Vishal Dadlani also shared his thoughts and supported Arijit, saying that an artist should always choose the path that brings them happiness.

During a conversation on AminJaz’s podcast ‘Untriggered’, Vishal Dadlani spoke about Arijit Singh’s decision to step away from playback singing. He said that every artist should follow their heart and choose what makes them truly happy.

When asked what he thinks about Arijit Singh calling it off, Vishal Dadlani gave a thumbs up and responded, “Yeah, I mean, do what makes you happy, man. He has put some kind of explanation or whatever. But theek hai yaar, jo bhi hai tere dil ka hai tu kar.” Vishal further added, “Music is an ocean that exists with or without you and us, so cheers, man.”

‘I Am On His Side’: Vishal Dadlani On Arijit Singh’s Quit From Playback Singing

When asked if Arijit wants to produce songs for us, Vishal said, “Yeah, he is a genius. There is no question about it. Life is for exploring. I am on his side, whatever he wants to do, I’m on his side. He is a good guy, and I love him. He is a genuine, good human being and has a good heart, a good mind and great music.”

Arijit Singh’s Retirement Announcement

In January, Arijit Singh shocked his fans by announcing that he was no longer going to take up new projects as a playback singer. He announced this news via an Instagram post.

In this post, he thanked his fans for the love and support he had received throughout his life. He said it had been a wonderful journey, but he was saying goodbye to playback singing. After giving up playback singing, it seems like Arijit Singh is focusing more on independent music.
