On Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa, actor Ram Kapoor recently made a disclosure that shocked the entire jail. The actor disclosed that he assisted his father, Anil Kapoor, in 'planning his death' following a pancreatic cancer relapse at the age of 73. His father decided against receiving treatment after fighting the disease once.
Recalling the conversation, Ram Kapoor said, "He was in Singapore, it was COVID time... Unhone Gautami ko phone kiya aur use bola mujhe Ram se baat karni hai."
Helped My Father Plan His Death: Ram Kapoor
The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor revealed that his father directly asked him, "Can you help me in dying?" The actor admitted he was initially shocked by the request. "Obviously my reaction was same like anybody else. I'm like, 'What the f*** are you talking about?' But he managed to convince me that main agar nahi krunga to wo akele marenge."
Ram Kapoor claimed that his father wanted him by his side in the ICU and did not want anybody else to know that he had decided to discontinue his treatment. "Ham dono bharti hue andar, kisi ko nahi pata tha that no treatment was happening."
Ram Kapoor added that his father had asked that he be buried the same day he died and that no one weep during his burial. "My mother and my sister still don't talk to me. It's been more than 5 years."
The actor claimed he had no regrets because he feels he fulfilled his father's last wish despite the emotional impact. "Everyone lives like a king. He f***ing died like a king."

Earlier, the actor disclosed that he was sexually assaulted while attending a boarding school at the age of 13. He described what transpired.
Ram Kapoor said, "I was in my dorm with other students when a 10th-standard student was on my bed with me. We were having fun and banter. He touched me under the blanket, and there were almost 30-40 children around, so I froze. I could not do anything. He continued to do so, and I did not know how to react. I did not know what to do or not to do," Ram Kapoor said.
