Radhika Apte has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam language movies. The actor praised the South film  industry for continuously producing powerful movie, whilst recalling an awkward experience from a movie set where she was the only woman present. She did not reveal the names of the South Indian movies she had a particularly 'difficult time' working on. Radhika Apte recalled that she was once asked to add padding to her bum and breasts for the movie.

Radhika Apte recently disclosed in an interview with SCREEN that early in her career, her lack of authority combined with financial strain put her in a lot of awkward circumstances. Due to her extreme financial necessity, she agreed to work in the South movies.

Radhika Apte shared, "Some of the films that I did, I had a really difficult time on those sets. I remember there was this one time, where I was the only woman on set. We were shooting in this small town. They wanted to add more padding on my bums and breasts. They were like, 'Amma, more padding!' I said, 'How much more padding?' How much rounder would you make somebody?"

Even though Radhika Apte thinks of herself as 'brave' and 'outspoken,' she was traumatised by some of her experiences working on South cinema sets. She stated that she would 'never, ever want to be put in that situation again' if given the option. The actpr claimed that her time working there was so awful that she would cry if she had to deal with something similar again and hoped that no woman would ever be placed in what she had been through.

Radhika Apte described how she didn't have a manager at the time. Since they had assigned her the position, her team was actually made up entirely of guys.

For those who are unaware, Radhika Apte gained widespread fame with Siram Raghavan's 2015 film Badlapur after continuously juggling Tollywood, Bollywood, and the South cinema business. She has now become one of Indian cinema's most esteemed actors.

Radhika Apte has acted in Tamil films such as Kabali, Vetri Selvan, and All in All Azhagu Raja. She also starred with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the Telugu movie Legend. Saali Mohabbat, which debuted on Zee5, and Raat Akeli Hai-The Bansal Murders, which is available on Netflix, are Radhika's two most recent OTT releases.
