The trailer opens with a heartbroken final voice note from Aniket (Vikram Singh Chauhan), who expresses his despair after his five-year relationship proposal is rejected by Pooja Dogra (Mrunal Thakur). Devastated by the public rejection, Aniket takes his own life.
Pooja is subsequently arrested and charged in connection with Aniket's suicide. She hires lawyer Sana (Huma Qureshi) to defend her in court. As the prosecution accuses Pooja of exploiting Aniket financially and leading him on, Sana argues that turning down a romantic proposal does not constitute a crime.
The trial quickly escalates into a public trial, with society and media turning hostile towards Pooja.

Reflecting on her performance as Pooja, Mrunal Thakur shared her thoughts on playing a multi-dimensional character subjected to severe public scrutiny: "From the very beginning, I was drawn to this part because I knew it would allow me to explore the many layers I have as an actor and bring something different to the table. Pooja is a deeply layered character, and what drew me to both the film and her journey was the complexity of what unfolds around her."
