R Madhavan Shares ‘Fraud Alert’ Post, Claims Brand Used His Name Without Permission

R. Madhavan recently called out wellness and functional health brand Elevate Now for allegedly using his name and an old interview clip without permission to promote its services. The actor also revealed that he has sent a legal notice to the company. On Wednesday, Madhavan shared a screenshot of the promotional video on Instagram and tagged it as a 'Fraud alert'.

The actor further criticised the brand for allegedly presenting the clip in a way that made it appear as though he was endorsing the company and its products. Expressing his disappointment, Madhavan stated that the video used his interview footage without consent and falsely projected it as a promotional endorsement.

Questioning the credibility of such marketing tactics, the actor also wrote, "How are the public ever going to believe these people or their treatment? Shame." He later added another strong message saying, "LEGAL NOTICE SENT."

Madhavan wrote on Instagram, "This reel is making it sound like I’m endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permission and used it as an endorsement from my end. How are the public ever going to believe these people or their treatment? Shame."

"What a shame. How do these people and organisations think they can get away with this? You cannot take a clip of somebody’s interview and make it part of your endorsement. Legal notice sent. Please BEWARE of these kinds of professionals and organisations. @join.elevate.now," he further added.
