Sunny Deol is actively promoting his upcoming film Batwara 1947 ahead of its theatrical release. During a recent media interaction in Mumbai, the actor spoke about the film's story, its characters, and the message it aims to deliver. He also made a special request to audiences, asking them to watch the film with an open mind and experience its emotional journey instead of focusing on political or religious debates.

Sunny Deol Says Batwara 1947 Story Was Kept Original

Speaking to the media in Mumbai, Sunny Deol said the makers stayed true to the original script without making changes to match the current social or political environment.

He said, “The characters are exactly the way they were written. We never tried to make anything neutral or change it according to the present atmosphere. This is simply the story as it was written.”

According to the actor, the film has been made with honesty, and every character has been presented as originally imagined by the writers.

'You Will Forget Everything While Watching Film': Sunny Deol 

Sunny Deol believes viewers will become so emotionally connected to the story that they will stop thinking about religion or politics during the film.

He said, “When you watch the film, you will forget everything. You will become so involved in this journey that, by the end, you will understand what Partition truly meant. You will also realise how important it was to stand by yourself and your loved ones during such difficult times.”

The actor added that the film focuses on human emotions and the strength people showed during one of history's most painful events.
