Talwiinder acknowledged that they were taken aback by the unexpected attention to their relationship. He said that neither of them wants to give in to pressure from rumours, and that the viral photos and online attention caught them off guard.

"We are still discovering ourselves. Still figuring out ourselves. I would just like to leave it at that because if they’re going to try to spread the rumours, I am going to let the rumours be rumours." But Talwiinder's answer to the straight question of whether he is in love with Disha Patani immediately made headlines. "I fall in love every day. I am falling in love right now."
