Nayanthara X Salman Khan Movie: Fans are abuzz with excitement as Toxic movie actress Nayanthara officially joins Salman Khan in an upcoming project. On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the makers of the upcoming action drama confirmed that the actress has been cast as the leading lady, marking her first-ever collaboration with the Dabangg star.
The announcement was made by the production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, through a vibrant social media post that quickly went viral. Director Vamshi Paidipally also took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his enthusiasm, stating, “Happy to welcome #NAYANTHARA on board #SalmanKhanVamshiPaidipallyFilm. Always admired her for the grace, strength and the dignity that she always carries. Super Excited for what we are about to create.”
This marks Salman Khan first collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju and also Nayanthara. Salman Khan had previously shared a glimpse of the pre-production phase, confirming that the film is set to go on floors in April 2026. He wrote on social media, “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April with @directorvamshi and #DilRaju.”

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently immersed in his ambitious war drama, Maatrubhumi (previously titled Battle of Galwan). Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangada Singh, the film has been undergoing a revised shooting schedule in Mumbai since February 2026. Reports suggest that the film will feature a unique Chinese-language song composed by Himesh Reshammiya, adding a fresh layer to the narrative.
