Recent reports suggest that the makers of his upcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, are considering moving the release date forward. Originally scheduled to premiere on June 12, 2026, the film could now arrive in cinemas as early as May 22.
The decision to prepone the release comes as the project nears completion. The shift in dates appears to be a calculated move to secure a stronger theatrical run. A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, "The makers are seriously considering bringing the film out on May 22 instead of June 12. They realized they could prepone the release by three weeks as the film is almost ready." The report further stated, "Moreover, there’s limited competition in the second half of May, and the summer holidays will be on. It’ll be an ideal time to attract youth and family audiences to the film."
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was initially set for June 5 before being moved to June 12 to avoid a direct clash with the film Toxic. However, staying on the June 12 date would have meant a face-off with Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga. Moving to May 22 allows the film to sidestep these hurdles, though it may still share the spotlight with titles like Chand Mera Dil and Raja Shivaji.

Meanwhile, this latest project is being positioned as a quintessential commercial entertainer, featuring a vibrant ensemble cast.
