"When you fall in love, you start processing those changes within you as well. Because you have to move together, and to do that you have to open yourself up, you have to accept a lot of things," Kohli added.

"I was a very closed person; I wasn't a very practical person before," he said.
Virat then explained that having Anushka as a life partner challenged him to consider himself in others’ shoes and widen his perspective.
"That changed my mindset completely and changed me as a person completely. I was rigid. I did not have an understanding of things," Kohli said.
Further, Virat mentioned how Anushka made him more conscious of his responsibilities as a public figure and especially his position as an international cricketer. Anushka helped him understand the importance of setting the right example for people who looked up to him.
"I give her full credit for making me see different sides of things, and I am so grateful that she is my life partner," he said.
