Wheel of Fortune: Akshay Kumar made a powerful comeback to television as the host of the game show Wheel of Fortune India. Since its premiere on January 27, 2026, the show has dominated the TRP charts. Originally envisioned as a limited series of around 40 episodes, the show has now reportedly received a major extension.  Wheel of Fortune has been captivating audiences with a mix of luck, strategy, and high-energy segments where guests try to solve word puzzles while spinning the wheel.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Akshay Kumar's Wheel of Fortune has been extended by 25 additional episodes. This decision comes after an overwhelming response from viewers and strong ratings. With the extension, viewers will get to see Akshay for 65 episodes on Sony Entertainment Television and the OTT platform Sony Liv. This marks a significant milestone for Sony TV, following the enduring legacy of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Wheel of Fortune now stands as the channel’s second major TRP-successful game show with its engaging gaming format.

Akshay with his screen presence during his television ventures earlier, has left an impactful effect, clearly visible in the success of his comeback shot. He previously appeared as the main host on MasterChef India Season 1 and also as a judge alongside Kunal Kapur and Ajay Chopra. The Khiladi Kumar, OG of stunts, brought his action-hero persona to the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. He hosted the show for seasons 1, 2, and 4. Now, he is dominating the game show floor Wheel of Fortune with his witty hosting style and unmistakable comic timing.

Wheel of Fortune Guest Appearances So Far

The first episode opened with Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza. It was followed by Karisma Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Chunky Pandey, Gulshan Grover and Shakti Kapoor. The show also saw appearances of Shark Tank India Judges-Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta. Recently, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, and Bhavana Pandey appeared on the show.
