Yash starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which was scheduled to open in theatres on June 4, has been delayed. He said the movie was completed and will be released at a time that corresponds with its global rollout in a statement made on Wednesday. This is the second time that the movie's release date has been pushed back. Originally scheduled for a global theatre release on March 19, Toxic would have clashed with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2.

According to Yash, the team's conviction that Toxic should realise its 'fullest potential worldwide' was reinforced by the reaction to the movie at CinemaCon. The much-awaited movie will soon be released in theatres all around the world, he continued, adding that the producers are now coordinating partnerships and global distribution.

Yash's statement read, "There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed—that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide."

Yash claimed that Toxic offered him a chance to exhibit Indian cinema on a global scale, and he was eager to take the time needed to make sure the movie had the impact it was meant to have. The shoot was finished, according to Yash, and they are now coordinating partnerships and worldwide distribution.

"Through every step and every change, your support has stayed with me, and I carry it with deep gratitude. Some stories ask for patience. Some journeys demand it. We promise to give you a film to enjoy and celebrate—a film that will stand as a proud moment for Indian cinema," he wrote in the concluding note.
