Ranabaali OTT Release: The much-awaited period action drama Ranabaali, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, is set to stream on Netflix after its theatrical release. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 11, 2026.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set in 19th-century India during British colonial rule. The story focuses on a turbulent period marked by violence, oppression and large-scale loss of life. According to reports, the film highlights the devastating impact of colonial exploitation, including immense human casualties and economic plunder.

In the film, Vijay Deverakonda plays a fearless freedom fighter, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays a key character named Jayamma. Their on-screen pairing has already generated excitement among fans, especially as this marks their third collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. The duo, who are reportedly newly married, have previously delivered successful films together.

Ranabaali will be released in multiple Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The multilingual strategy is expected to widen its reach across the country and among international audiences. The film also stars Arnold Vosloo as the main antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector. Music for the film has been composed by the celebrated duo Ajay-Atul.

Earlier this year, the teaser of Ranabaali was unveiled on Republic Day 2026 and quickly grabbed attention for its grand visuals. However, it also sparked controversy after a social media user claimed that parts of it were created using artificial intelligence. Director Rahul Sankrityan firmly denied the allegation, stating that no AI tools were used. He clarified that every frame was crafted using traditional filmmaking methods and that months of hard work went into the production.

With its powerful historical backdrop, large-scale action and popular lead pair, Ranabaali is expected to be one of the biggest releases of 2026 before making its digital debut on Netflix.
