Netflix's original 'Squid Game' was one of the most viewed shows of all time. From the iconic doll's bell ring to the curious looks of the red-suit man, the series topped Netflix's top 10 list for quite a time raising the hype of the series.

Considering the impact the last season has left on the audience, the makers of the show are ready to bring back the game on Netflix this year, however, there will be no killings in this season which will hit the screens with a new bling and twist.

Squid Game: The Challenge is a reality show offshoot of the popular Korean dystopian drama in which around 450 people compete with each other to win a total prize money of $4.56 million which involves playing with non-lethal activities.

Earlier this year, the show also sparked tons of controversy as several competitors reported some ideal conditions set up by the makers which was amusing given the nature of the show but was a huge question to instill.

Netflix finally said that the show will be hitting the screen in November 2023, but did not provide a specific date. Two years have passed since the release of Squid Game which stunned viewers in 2021 and quickly charted at the top of the list.

The plot revolves around the story of people who experience failure in real life for a variety of causes and are given an invitation where they can voluntarily enter and play without knowing the fact that it is a survival game and have a chance to win more than 38 million US dollars. The players are imprisoned until the conclusion of the game and are kept on a secluded island.

The Netflix series was heavily influenced by Manga which has been adapted into films and TV episodes, despite the series being neither an anime nor manga. Talking about terms of popularity it set to top all past Netflix programs and also won 6 Emmy nominations, where no survival drama for South Korean TV has achieved so.
