In a disturbing incident, a 14-year-old disabled girl was brutally raped by four men in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. One of the accused, identified as Sachin Yadav, has been arrested. A widely circulated video shows one of the accused being tied to a tree and beaten by villagers.

What Happened In The Fields?

On Thursday, at around 6 pm, the 14-year-old girl had gone to the fields with two friends to relieve herself. The police claimed that the four drug-addicted youths grabbed her in the field. The other girls who had accompanied fled the scene.

The accused then strangled the teenager, attempting to force themselves on her and rape her.

Boys playing there caught the accused, Sachin Yadav, on the spot, took him to the village, tied him to a tree, thrashed him. Later, when the police arrived, they handed him over to them.

Victim In Critical Condition

The 14-year-old girl was in a critical condition. Police took her to the district hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. The victim's brother-in-law stated that the girl is disabled and has difficulty walking due to a spinal problem.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Rural ASP Shrishchandra, CO Bharthana Ram Dhawan Maurya, and police station chief Vipin Malik arrived at the scene. Sachin was accompanied by three other youths who fled. The victim, along with her family, was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment and medical examination.

In a similar case, a seven-year-old girl was found dead in the basement of an under-construction mall in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension in the early hours of Saturday. A post-mortem examination has confirmed that the girl was raped before being murdered and that she died of a head injury.

Following the recovery of the body, the Nandgram police registered an FIR based on a complaint filed by the victim's family, and an investigation into the incident is underway. Meanwhile, police have arrested two suspects based on CCTV footage, including a man named Shahabuddin and a 16-year-old minor, both workers at the under-construction mall.
