After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with Governor Anandiben Patel, the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony began at Jan Bhavan, the sources said. The Yogi Adityanath government will be expanded at Jan Bhavan on Sunday evening, they said. The political future of CM Yogi Adityanath's closest minister is at stake. Additionally, two of his ministers may have to work in the organisation.

Caste Balance Likely To Be In Focus

Sources claim that this could also lead to changes in the work of three prominent leaders. A minister close to Delhi may have his portfolio reduced, while the Jat and Gurjar communities in the West may receive significant opportunities. After receiving the green signal from the central leadership, potential ministers from Uttar Pradesh have been instructed to reach Lucknow by Saturday evening.

The Yogi Adityanath cabinet expansion and reshuffle will give political power to two OBC leaders from Purvanchal, while several veteran leaders may face the axe. A new Brahmin face will also be inducted into the cabinet, and a longtime Brahmin leader will also be given a second chance. Along with these, two new faces from the Dalit community will also be inducted into the cabinet.

Five to seven new ministers are likely to be appointed in this reshuffle. Bhupendra Chaudhary, Manoj Pandey, Ashok Kataria, Pooja Pal, Shrikant Sharma, Rajiv Tarara, Krishna Paswan, and Rajeshwar Singh could see their fortunes shine. Additionally, the portfolios of former ministers could be reshuffled, with some even receiving promotions.

A Minister of State with Independent Charge or a Minister with Independent Charge could be promoted to Cabinet Minister.

Yogi Cabinet May Have 60 Ministers

A maximum of 60 people might be appointed to the UP Cabinet. Currently, 54 ministers, including CM Yogi, are in the cabinet. Six new ministers may be appointed. The Yogi cabinet currently has 21 cabinet ministers, 14 independent charge ministers, and 19 ministers of state. There is discussion about including those from the OBC and Dalit communities, whose castes distanced themselves from the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections.

Some members from the organisation may also find a place in the cabinet. Some Legislative Council members, who are serving as General Secretaries along with outgoing state party president Bhupendra Chaudhary, may also find a place in the cabinet.
