New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Domestic carrier SpiceJet has decided to suspend Kunal Kamra from flying with the airline until further notice for heckling TV anchor Arnab Goswami on an IndiGo flight on Tuesday. In the clip shared by the comedian on Tuesday, he confronted Arnab on board a Mumbai-Lucknow flight who chose to ignore him throughout the encounter. kamra tried his best to provoke the TV anchor and get a few words out of him, but failed in his attempt. Following the incident, the video shared by Kamra went viral on social media with mixed reactions on social media.
In a tweet, the ariline said,"SpiceJet has decided to suspend Mr. Kunal Kamra from flying with the airline till further notice."
Earlier on Wednesday, IndiGo and Air India had banned Kamra from flying in the arline for a period of six months.
"@MoCA_GoI @HardeepSPuri In light of the recent incident on board 6E 5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow, we wish to inform that we are suspending Mr. Kunal Kamra from flying with IndiGo for a period of six months, as his conduct onboard was unacceptable behaviour," IndiGo had tweeted on Wednesday.
On th other hand, Air India spokesperson Dhananjay Kumar said, “In view of the incident onboard @IndiGo6E, Air India wishes to inform that conduct of Person concerned is unacceptable.With a view to discourage such behavior onboard flts, Mr Kunal Kamra is suspended from flying on any Air India flight until further notice."
"Offensive behaviour designed to provoke & create disturbance inside an aircraft is absolutely unacceptable & endangers safety of air travellers. We are left with no option but to advise other airlines to impose similar restrictions on the person concerned." said Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
