Ahmedabad Plane Crash: The tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, which claimed the lives of at least 260 people, completed a year on Friday. While the initial reports suggested that the incident occurred due to the engine failure, the exact reason has not been disclosed yet. Along with the other passengers, 33 residents of Vadodara also lost their lives in the tragic incident. The family members of Bhavik Maheshwari, who lost his life in the accident, are still devastated and have sought strict action against those responsible.

Bhavik Maheshwari, the eldest son of the Maheshwari family in Vadodara's Wadi area, was excited to start a fresh life in England following his marriage. However, the joyous moment for the family turned into grief after Maheshwari died in the plane crash. In an exclusive interview with Jagran, Mukesh Maheshwari, the deceased's father, stated that the government has provided adequate assistance.

While providing details, Bhavik's father stated that a total of Rs 1.25 crore has been given to the family as compensation. However, he insisted that no amount of compensation can bring his son back to life and demanded justice in the matter. He further stated that the Tata Group provided good guidance for the first three months, but there was a lack of communication after the compensation process was completed.

The family members further questioned the delay in the probe, further seeking details of those responsible behind the tragic incident. They further stated that the responsible should not be spared and an example should be set to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future.

The Air India flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, took off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on June 12. After reaching an altitude of 650 feet, the flight started losing altitude, and the pilot declared 'Mayday'. The flight crashed into a medical college hostel building seconds after takeoff near the Ahmedabad Airport, killing 260 people, including 241 on board.
