Union Health Minister JP Nadda has launched several new initiatives aimed at improving access to simple and efficient healthcare services for the public. These include the Ayushman Sarathi WhatsApp chatbot for Ayushman Bharat, National Ambulance Service Guidelines, the Suman Roadmap for ensuring maternal and newborn healthcare by 2030, and the Comprehensive Infant Health Welfare and Anaemia-Free India Campaign.

While launchin the schemes, JP Nadda said that building a healthy India is an essential step towards achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047. He added that the Ayushman Sarathi WhatsApp chatbot will provide beneficiaries of Swasth Bharat 24x7 access to key services without needing to visit government offices or call helplines, offering secure and real-time access to Ayushman Bharat services through WhatsApp.

Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card

The platform allows users to check eligibility under the scheme, apply for and download the Ayushman Card, complete e-KYC, link Aadhaar, and lock or unlock their PM-JAY card. It also provides services related to the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card for senior citizens aged 70 years and above.

Services Available:

* Beneficiaries can view treatment balance and medical history

* Locate nearby empanelled hospitals

* Register and track complaints

* Request callbacks

* Submit feedback after discharge. 

The initiative aims to improve accessibility, transparency, and citizen engagement by providing instant access to PM-JAY services via WhatsApp.

Aarogya Setu 2.0 Launched

Nadda also introduced Aarogya Setu 2.0, an upgraded version of the app that played a key role during the COVID vaccination drive. The updated platform will function as a digital health records system and also track insurance coverage and claims. Developed under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, it acts as a gateway to advanced healthcare services.

It enables users to create an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID, manage digital health records, and register at hospitals using the “Scan and Share” feature. It also provides real-time details on health insurance coverage for individuals and families under Ayushman Bharat.

Unified Health Interface (UHI)

The minister also launched the Unified Health Interface (UHI), which allows users to search, book, and access verified healthcare services across multiple digital platforms. This interoperable system ensures patients are not restricted to a single application and can access services seamlessly across platforms.
