In yet another incident of sexual harassment, a young female doctor was allegedly molested by a man while returning after finishing her duty. The incident occurred late at night on Wednesday, December 17, around 12:49 am.
The victim, identified as a post-graduate student at the Saptagiri Medical College, was returning to her residence after completing her duty hours. According to the complaint, the accused approached her on a two-wheeler and stopped near her, asking for directions to a bus stop.
Subsequently, the accused behaved indecently and physically assaulted her. Reeling from the shock of the attack, the doctor screamed for help, prompting the perpetrator to flee the scene on his motorcycle. In the backdrop of this horrific incident, the woman later filed a complaint at the Soladevanahalli police station, where a case has been registered.
Who Is The Accused?
The accused, identified as Vinod T, worked in a sandwich outlet in the city and was allegedly involved in such activities for over a month, according to the police investigating the matter.
The police further said that the accused used to target women in the evening. If he saw them walking or riding alone, he would suddenly approach them, hug them tightly, or touch them inappropriately, and then flee from the spot on his two-wheeler.

19-Year-Old Girl Raped By Three Friends In Ramanagara District
In a separate incident that unfolded in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district on Thursday, December 18, a college student was reportedly raped by three persons. The police have arrested all the people involved in the crime, including the victim’s lover and boyfriend.
The arrests were made following a complaint filed by the 19-year-old victim. According to police, one of the accused is her boyfriend, who had sex with her, recorded their intimate moments, and later used the video to blackmail her.
