Bengaluru Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for multiple Karnataka districts for the coming days. At present, there is a cold wave in Bidar, Haveri in the north interior and Davangere in the south interior.
As per the weather body, the minimum temperature dropped to 10-12 degrees Celsius in the north interior Karnataka districts including Bidar, Belgaum, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Gadag, Raichur, Haveri, Bangalore, Davangere, Hassan, Chintamani and Shivamogga.
Meanwhile, the temperature hovers between 18-19 degrees Celsius in south interior and coastal Karnataka districts including - Koppal, Kalaburgi, Chitradurga, Mandya, Mysore is between 18 and 19 degrees Celsius.
As per IMD, by December 17, the minimum temperature will increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Karnataka.

Bengaluru Weather
Severe cold conditions have hit Bengaluru recently with extreme temperatures being witnessed during early morning and night hours. The nighttime temperature in Bengaluru dropped to 14.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday. As per IMD, the maximum temperature in Bengaluru will now rise to 27 degrees Celsius.
Bengaluru and the northern interior districts of Karnataka witnessed a sharp drop in temperatures between December 8 and 14. As per IMD, the weather change is due to a combination of local effects and global factors. Conditions in the Pacific Ocean have turned extreme and as a result the flow of cold winds has increased, the IMD stated.
