Entire Project Spans Nearly 14 Kilometres

The new rail bridge has been constructed around 50 metres from the existing Rajendra Bridge on the Patna side. While the main bridge is approximately 1.9 km long, the entire project, including the approach lines, extends nearly 14 km.

The project also includes the construction of nine minor bridges, two road overbridges (ROBs), and three rail-over-rail structures.

New Bridge Expected to Double Corridor Capacity

The new rail line will connect Hathidah, Tal, and Rampur Dumra stations with Rajendra Bridge and Barauni stations.

Once operational, the new bridge is expected to significantly enhance the capacity of this vital rail corridor, enabling faster, smoother, and safer train operations while easing congestion on the existing Rajendra Bridge.
