Chandrababu Naidu Andhra Pradesh CM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has been selected as the chief ministerial candidate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu is set to take oath as chief minister on Wednesday, June 12, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Following that, TDP chief Naidu said "All MLAs of BJP, Janasena and TDP have given their consent for me to become Andhra Pradesh's upcoming Chief Minister of NDA government."

In a meeting held at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri, ally Janasena Legislature Party elected Pawan Kalyan as its leader. Pawan Kalyan proposed and supported Chandrababu Naidu's candidacy as the NDA's chief ministerial candidate.

The meeting was attended by TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan, state BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari, and other MLAs.

After Naidu was named as the CM, NDA allies led by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, met with Governor A Abdul Nazeer at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada to stake their claim to form the government.

Earlier in the day, legislators from the Telugu Desam Party, Janasena, and BJP of NDA met in Vijayawada to elect N Chandrababu Naidu as their leader in the assembly.

The NDA secured a massive victory in the recent simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, winning 164 Assembly and 21 Lok Sabha seats.
