Christmas Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday stated that several routes near the Saket region will remain closed on December 24 and 25 for Christmas. The authority stated that the restrictions will be in effect from 2 PM, adding that the crowd is likely to surge in the evening hours. As per the advisory, traffic diversions will be implemented around Select Citywalk Mall, DLF Avenue Mall, and MGF Metropolitan Mall in Saket. The traffic restriction is likely to affect vehicular movement on Press Enclave Road and several internal roads in Saket and Pushp Vihar. The traffic police have advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the traffic police stated that the diversions will be implemented at several locations, including the Sheikh Sarai traffic light on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, the Asian Market traffic light on Mehrauli-Badarpur (MB) Road, and the PTS Malviya Nagar traffic light on Sri Aurobindo Marg.
Apart from this, all the connecting roads from Sheikh Sarai to Hauz Rani will be closed during the restricted hours on these two days. The traffic police also asserted that the heavy vehicles and DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) buses will be prohibited on both carriageways of Press Enclave Road.

The traffic police stated that the passengers traveling from Chirag Delhi to Qutub Minar can use the Khanpur T-point, MB Road, and Lado Sarai T-point. Apart from this, the commuters from the IIT flyover to Sangam Vihar or Sainik Farms are advised to take the route via TB Hospital Red Light, Lado Sarai Red Light, MB Road, Chirag Delhi, and Khanpur Red Light. The traffic police have appealed to the commuters to plan their travel accordingly to avoid the rush.
