CJP Protests: After talks between the Cockroach Janta Party delegation and the government, during a joint press conference at the Constitutional Club, New Delhi, with Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and JP Nadda, CJP 's Saurav Das announced that the protest has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
"The CJP declares that we withdraw the agitation in good faith and understanding that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timeline," he said.
Das said, "Our second demand was that all the FIRs filed against the protesters, not just in Delhi but in all BJP-ruled and BJP-allied states, should be withdrawn. This was also our second demand. The government has accepted that demand as well."
The CJP spokesperson furthermore said the government has assured us that it will share copies of all the FIRs filed – as per our last information, 15 to 20 FIRs were filed in Delhi – and we will receive those copies within three to four days in any case.
"The government has also assured that the withdrawal will be done shortly. Understanding this, we have shared a draft with the government, which is a written guarantee. The government has said it will share this with us by Tuesday. We hope that by Tuesday we will receive the government's guarantees regarding these FIRs and any future action," he added.

In an X post, the CJP also released a note confirming the conclusion of its around one-month-long protest at the Jantar Mantar.

3. CJP’s 5-point exam reform charter will be considered by the govt and the CJP will meet with the govt to discuss these reforms further.
What Government Said After Meeting With CJP
On the other side, Nadda, who represented the government along with Singh at the meeting with CJP, said, "We had a long conversation today. They brought a written draft in which they made four points about the ongoing cases in the agitation. Along with that, we discussed the other two demands: no retaliatory measures should be taken, compensation should be provided, and their five-point charter should be considered. We will provide them with copies of the FIRs, and no action will be taken."
The second thing that has been said is that regarding compensation, the government has clearly stated that we also sympathise, he added. "We all have said that there will be compensation according to the rules and regulations, whatever maximum will be possible will be given to them," the Union Minister said.
"This five-point charter, which you gave me, is related to reforms in education examinations. Regarding it, we have to say that we will think deeply about your charter for reforms in education examinations and after talking to your delegation, we will try to do whatever we can," he elaborated.
Victory Of Democracy: Wangchuk
Wangchuk, whose 26-day-long hunger strike created outrage across the nation, welcomed the development, saying it is a victory of democracy.
"I welcome and respect the steps taken by the government and Dharmendra Pradhan, and congratulate all countrymen. This is a victory for democracy that we witnessed today. I congratulate and thank our CJP team who first raised this issue, as well as the volunteers who supported them, the students, youth, and elders from across the country who stood up for democracy," he added.
He asserted that there was a need for reforms in the education sector. "A nation isn't built by resignation alone. There should be reform in education, and further work should be done on that. I fully hope that the generosity with which the government has taken this step will also be reflected in reform efforts—reforms not just in education, but in governance as well. I hope that from now on, the way the country is run will change," he added.
Rahul Gandhi Seeks PM Modi's Apology
Reacting to Pradhan's resignation, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi termed it a 'huge step towards reshaping our education system'. Gandhi demanded that action be taken against those guilty of violence against students and an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Not A Matter Of Personal Reputation: Pradhan
Earlier in the day, Pradhan announced his resignation. While sharing his resignation letter in a post on X, the Union Minister said he has sent his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pradhan further stated that the recent developments had affected him, adding that the issue was not a matter of personal reputation.
"To ensure that anti-national elements are not benefited by the situation at Jantar Mantar and across the country, that the nation remains united, students in India do not get tangled in legal complexities and focus on their studies and their career, I have tendered my resignation to the Prime Minister," Pradhan's letter read.
