Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi: A 23-year-old student was seriously injured during the violence at the CJP's Parliament march. Her condition remains critical. She is on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital.

According to hospital sources, she likely suffered asphyxia during the stampede caused by the tear gas shelling. She also suffered serious injuries to her face, chest, and neck. A stampede-like situation ensued after tear gas was released.

According to reports, the young woman has been identified as Sakshi. She lives in Chhatarpur Extension and is a student of the Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications (ADCA). She had come to join the protest with her cousin. Both were injured in the stampede that ensued after tear gas was released. Her brother also suffered a leg injury.

Family members say Sakshi is on a ventilator. According to hospital sources, Sakshi has also been undergoing treatment for tuberculosis for the past few months.

However, no official medical bulletin has been issued by the hospital administration regarding her health condition or the severity of her condition. It is being told that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who reached RML on Tuesday, also met Sakshi's mother here.
