Jagran Correspondent | New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das stated that party leaders met with government representatives, who shared official notifications from Bihar and Assam guaranteeing the withdrawal of FIRs, immunity from future action, and the immediate release of all individuals detained during the NEET exam protests.
Sharing a post on X, Saurav Das said, “Hours after our press conference, Government’s representatives met us. The meeting lasted for 2-3 hours. They shared copies of the Bihar and Assam notifications guaranteeing FIR withdrawals, no action in future, and release of all detainees and arrestees.
They’ve reiterated their promise of releasing guarantee-notifications by union government and other BJP/NDA states by tomorrow. Hopefully, the agreed upon language shall be used.
No protester will be left alone. We are all in this together!"
Das clarified that the Centre has ensured the withdrawal of criminal cases against the protestors on Tuesday (July 28). The CJP member also issued a warning, saying they might take to the streets again if their demands were not met. The party clarified that it discussed the matter with the Centre before ending the 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar.

-The Centre during the meeting, clarified that no new cases will be filed against any organisers or protesters in the future.
- Saurav stated that Rajasthan authorities have assured no proceedings or FIRs against protesters, following similar notifications from Bihar and Assam, as part of efforts to protect youth from the recent nationwide agitation.
-The Delhi Police handed the CJP a copy of the Bihar government's notification withdrawing cases registered against protesters before July 26 and said more such guarantees from other states are expected on Tuesday.
-The Centre is expected to share a written agreement on Tuesday, highlighting the demands of the CJP.

-The CJP is launching a website that will connect lawyers across districts so the protesters can reach out to them for help, Das said.
- Ashutosh Ranka clarified that if the Centre fails to free the arrested protestors by Tuesday, the CJP will once again start an agitation.
- In a press conference with senior advocate and Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal, CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that a draft agreement had been submitted to Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.
- Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has announced Rs1 crore as legal aid for the website and has urged lawyers across India to contribute to the fund. “They will create a website where lawyers willing to provide legal assistance can register their names, location and the kind of help they can offer,” Sibal said in a presser alongside Saurav Das on Monday night.
-Sibal claimed that there may be some attempts to communalise the entire incident. Delhi Police could use facial recognition technology to identify and target protesters, said Sibal. He said that people from all sections of society should ensure that students involved in the protest are not harassed or targeted in any way.
