Delhi Airport Flight Status Live Updates: The Delhi-NCR region was engulfed in dense fog on Tuesday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert in this regard, warning of "dense fog" extending into the forenoon. Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail during the next two days.
At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), the visibility during morning hours was 350 metres affecting flight operations. This is expected to improve to 600 metres in the coming hours and by 1:30 pm, visibility is expected to increase to around 1,200 metres.
Adding to the weather woes, Delhi’s air quality remained in the very poor category with an AQI of 384 at 8 am, prompting authorities to advise residents to limit outdoor activities.
In view of the poor AQI and fog, the Delhi Airport issued an advisory, with airport authorities announcing that the flight operations are being conducted under category-III conditions. Rail operations were also delayed owing to poor visibility on Tuesday.
