Delhi Airport Flight Status Live Updates: 118 Flights Cancelled, 16 Diverted At IGI Airport; Check Latest Advisory

Dense fog in the Delhi-NCR region led to rescheduling and cancellation of trains at New Delhi Railway Station. Passengers were seen waiting at the station amid biting cold conditions.

Dense fog continued to engulf Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, disrupting air traffic. 60 incoming, 58 outgoing flights were cancelled while 16 flights were diverted At Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The Delhi Airport issued a fresh advisory at 9:00 am on Tuesday.

It said that the “flight operations are running smoothly as visibility at the airport has improved. Please be assured that our on-ground officials are available across terminals to assist passengers and provide necessary support.”

IMD has also issued a yellow alert for Wednesday, warning that dense fog will continue during the early morning hours. While skies will remain partly cloudy until mid-week, severe cold conditions and plunging temperatures will persist over the next two days.

A thick blanket of dense to very dense fog has enveloped Delhi, significantly impacting visibility and disrupting road, rail, and air travel. In view of adverse weather conditions, the weather department has issued an orange alert for Delhi, warning of dense to very dense fog during the early morning hours and dense fog during the forenoon today.

Multiple flights were delated at Delhi's IGI Airport after dense fog engulfed the runways on Tuesday morning. Delhi Airport issued a passenger advisory in this regard at 8 am.
