Several parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed rainfall on Monday, providing much-needed respite from the persistent heat and humid conditions. Overcast skies and showers led to a noticeable drop in temperatures, making the weather significantly more pleasant.
Along with Delhi, rain was also witnessed in parts of Noida and Ghaziabad. In Noida, Sector 63 and nearby localities received heavy rainfall, resulting in waterlogging on several roads. The accumulation of water disrupted traffic movement, with commuters reporting slow-moving vehicles and minor traffic congestion at multiple locations.

Delhi Weather Forecast
IMD has predicted that showers are expected to persist in the capital over the next two days. The weather body stated that the entire region would be under a cloudy sky and expected to witness scattered showers of light and moderate intensity across many areas.
IMD has predicted that surface winds of 20-30 kmph would be prevalent and has warned residents to be cautious, particularly with reference to low-lying and waterlogged areas.
Delhi AQI
Meanwhile, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 93 at 5 pm on Monday, which is considered moderate. The air quality in NCR cities is also in the satisfactory to moderate category.
India Weather Update
Two separate low-pressure areas over Rajasthan and the Bay of Bengal have reinvigorated the monsoon. A western disturbance is also active in the mountains. Due to the effect of these three weather systems, rain activity is expected to intensify in the North India states over the next two to three days.
Systems over the Bay of Bengal and Rajasthan are strengthening each other, increasing the supply of moisture to North India and broadening the rainfall. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), isolated heavy rain is possible in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
