Railways News: The train services in the New Delhi zone remained disrupted on Wednesday after a freight train derailed near Ghaziabad on Tuesday. While the train operations resumed on the affected track in the late hours of Tuesday, several trains got delayed. As per the rail authorities, departure times for several trains were changed on Wednesday due to their delayed arrival in the capital city.
Multiple Trains Delayed
Along with the long-distance trains, several local trains are also running late, leading to inconveniences to the daily commuters. The authority stated that while the New Delhi-Darbhanga Special will be delayed by five hours, the Old Delhi-Kotdwar Siddhbali Express will be delayed by 2.50 hours. Apart from this, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Jogbani Seemanchal Express is likely to be delayed by one hour.
The railways stated that Saharanpur-Old Delhi Passenger (54474) is running late by two hours, adding that Ghaziabad-Old Delhi MEMU (64417) is delayed by one and a quarter hours. While Bulandshahr-Tilak Bridge MEMU is running late by one and a half hours, Ballabgarh-Shakurbasti EMU (64071) and Saharanpur-Old Delhi MEMU (64558) express are delayed by one hour.

Banaras-New Delhi Kashi Vishwanath Express - 3.75 hours
Gorakhpur-Bathinda Gorakhdham Express - 4.5 hours
Prayagraj-Bhiwani Kalindi Express - 3.75 hours
Rajendra Nagar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express - 2 hours

Earlier, the authority stated that several trains on this route have been rerouted, further advising the passengers to check their train's schedule before travelling to avoid the inconveniences. However, the officials have assured that the repair work is underway and the services will be normalized soon.
