Faridabad Rape Case: TA 25-year-old woman, who was subjected to a horrific gang-rape ordeal by two men in a moving vehicle on the night of December 30 in Faridabad, has identified both of the accused during a test identification parade conducted by the police.
The woman, a mother of three, was allegedly lured into a private ambulance by the two men who offered her a lift while she was on her way home from a friend's house. On the night of December 29, she reportedly had an argument with her mother and decided to visit a female friend.
Background: Faridabad Gang Rape Case
- A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and assaulted before being thrown out of a moving vehicle on the Gurugram-Faridabad road has identified both the accused.
- Before leaving her place, she had informed her sister that she was heading to a friend’s home in Faridabad Sector 23. She intended to return home the same evening, but was delayed and eventually left her friend’s place around midnight.
- She left the friend’s residence around 12.30 am to return home. At Metro Chowk, unable to find transport, she accepted a ride offered by the two men in a private hospital’s private ambulance. However, instead of taking the 25-year-old to her destination, they allegedly drove towards Gurugram and allegedly raped her inside the moving vehicle, they added.
- The driver diverted the vehicle to a secluded stretch of the Gurugram-Faridabad Road, where they assaulted and raped her over the next two to three hours.
- After driving around through the night, the men reportedly brought her back towards Faridabad and threw her out of the car, moving at nearly 90 kmph near Raja Chowk in the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Nagar area between 3 am and 4 am.
- The victim sustained grave injuries to her face and head.
- She repeatedly called for help and later managed to call her sister, who took her to the nearby Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. The doctors initially admitted her but later referred her to AIIMS Delhi. However, she was eventually shifted to a private hospital in Faridabad.
- The doctors said that the woman is currently stable but critically injured, having suffered multiple fractures and deep facial wounds requiring more than 20 stitches.
- A senior officer told news agency PTI that the police have got enough evidence in the case and will file a chargesheet against the accused soon. The test identification parade of the accused was conducted on Wednesday in the presence of a duty magistrate. The victim identified both of them, the officer said.

- The two accused, one from Mathura and the other from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, have since been arrested and sent to judicial custody. An investigating officer had earlier confirmed that the accused used to work as a driver and helper on the ambulance of a private hospital.
- The survivor was discharged from the hospital a week after her horrific assault on Tuesday.
